What I Wore Wednesday ~ Fun Shoes

Linking up with the girls today to showcase what we wore. I am excited to show off the skirt I fixed. I bought this skirt years ago. But I never really wore because once I got it how I realized it was a little to short for this 30 something Mom. Then last week I finally did something about it and added another layer to the bottom of the skirt. The marroon layer was easy to add and I had the fabric already so it cost nothing. I am now able to actually go out in public. Though not on a windy day the material is very light, tights will be a must with this one still.

Second outfit I wore to work. I picked up this new cardi a few weeks ago and finally wore it. It's a little bright for me so but it is working.

My favorite part of the outfit is the shoes though.

They have a huge heel (I think I may get close to 5'6") For as crazy as they look they are pretty comfortable. Not an all day walk around town but dinner out works.

Redeemed and a Giveaway

DaySpring sent over a BEAUTIFUL wallet and make-up bag for my review. The bags are from their Redeemed collection. The description of this collection says it all.

Look at them aren't they great. On the back of the wallet it says "Truly treasured. Romans 8:28" This is such a good reminder. How often do you pull your wallet out through out the day? If you are like me quite a bit and this is read every time. So good. 
Now for the facts: this wallet has a great closure nice and secure. There is room for a bit of cards and a photo. There is a coin purse portion but don't expect a lot to fit the wallet doesn't have any give. But I can easily fit everything I need in it. Has an oil skin fabric on the outside and a tent like material on the inside.

I have been using the wallet over a week now and it is working great. The closure is staying tight with multiple opening and closings. Also there has yet to get marked up throwing it in my messy purse.

The make-up bag has a message of "Truly Beautiful Ecc. 3:11". If Mouse was at an age where she needed a make-up bag this would be the one I would want her to have. A truly great message of knowing you are beautiful in His eyes.
Now for the make-up bag: The outside to this is also oil skin (is that what the shiny stuff is called?). And has an outer pocket and an inner pocket along with 2 inner pouches. It is very large and will fit all of my travel items, which will come in handy with our upcoming trip. The only negative I could say for this is no different than the issue I have with most make-up bags, I wish they would have a full closure. There is that open area the each end, I always loose things this way. Other than that it is great, and I love the outside patterns.

For the month of May I was doing a giveaway for a $20 gift card to Dayspring. I am so excited to be given the ability to do a giveaway on my blog. Dayspring is such a great company and their products give you the ability to display your faith throughout your home.

I know who won, right!? Well I had Steve pick a number 1 through 16 (we had 16 comments). He chose the number 3. Then to be fair I had the number generator pick a number too. It chose 3! So I guess commenter number three was destine to win.

My first giveaway, thank you Dayspring

I have been a part of (in)Courage since I started this blog. I love the community there. A group of Christian women who really seem to get it. (in)Courage is run through Dayspring. Dayspring is the Christian off shoot of Hallmark.
Dayspring's product are beautiful and inspirational. They are also very varied in style, I think anyone could find something that fits their decor. So, when Dayspring put the word out at (in)Courage that they were looking for bloggers to review their product I jumped at the chance.
I am so excited for the product I was given to review. And it was perfect God timing. Steve and I were recently talking that within our home there is not a lot of public reference to our faith. So, we started talking about what we would like to see in our house. Next, thing Dayspring is sending me this beautiful serving tray to review!

The tray is made from metal and is brown with light tan etchings in it. It is very heavy and sturdy. I felt like it was pretty high quality material. It is not meant for food serving but it makes a great center piece. You can see it below as how I used it on our table. The only thing I would have liked was cleaning instructions. But since it shouldn't get to dirty I guess it is not really a worry. I do love the etchings they are so beautiful.
