So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from this week that match the words of this week.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." ~ Deuteronomy 31:6
Winter is settling in here. It's bitter cold is piercing everything around us. It is during this cold that we snuggle deep into blankets and couches. We try to block out the cold.
But houses aren't made for 15 below wind chills. The cracks and thumps through the night are loud and disturbing.
Mouse is constantly asking in fearful tones "what was that", "is something out there".
Our night have become a loop of activities, checking the windows and doors to reassure her and ourselves that it is just the cold. A reminder to pray for strength and to fear less. Then repeat the next night and the night after that.
But isn't that what life is sometimes, a loop of reminders to turn to Him. To lay down our fears, hopes and loves at his feet.

Our houses were so not made for this! Do you get ice on your windows too? And puddles on your sills the next morning? Ugh. I don't even want to know what the inside of the walls look like below the windows :(
ReplyDeleteBut... excellent reminder to lay down our fears at His feet and turn to Him in all things. Have a great weekend!
