In our house we have become MacGyver super fans. Our daughter is learning the answer to all of life's problems is DUCT TAPE! What I am learning, is 80's television was not as visual as I remember it. We are trying to teach her that yes Duct Tape is amazing and o what you need to solve all problems is right in front of you. But it's not the tape it is Prayer.
Duct tape that invention that surpasses no other. It can hold all things together. It reminds me of God.
This past few months our marriage has been in turmoil. And there has been days when I didn't know if we would hold together. But God has wrapped us in duct tape and it isn't breaking.
It is amazing what happens to ones self when they are no longer trying to bare the burdens by themselves. When we turn to God and have him wrap us tightly in his love that we are able to hold it together. Alone, I feel like I am shattering. That I can't hold it together anymore but then God steps in.
“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall” Psalm 55:22
He can carry the burdens (kind of like the Duct tape and it's ability to lift a 2000lbs car from the ditch). Though unlike Duct tape God has no limits. We can't give him anything he can't handle.
