So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from my week Instagram feed that match the words of this week.

Today is Good Friday
But if you just looked at today, why would anyone call it good.
Today is the memory of the torture, humiliation, DEATH.
Today we remember the one that rode in as a KING and died as a criminal.
If the story stopped there, then the good part of Friday makes no sense.
The crucifixion would be just a story.
Jesus would be just another prophet.
But the story continues
"And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God" ~ Mark 15:39
Isn't that verse powerful. He, who stood in front of him, watching him die, knew that, that man dying there was the Son of God. I try to picture myself in his place and tears run down. Just as the centurion, we know that He is the Son of God.
God gave us the his Son so we could see the big picture. The story that He had been working on for us. The story of salvation.
That in three days His Son would rise conquer death for US!
Why is it Good?
As horrible as it must have been for that centurion to watch, it is through that we are saved.
For He came to fulfill God's promise to us.
And for that it is GOOD!
