Strawbery Banke ~ New Hampshire

Strawbery Banke, NH, East Coast, New England, Travel, History
After four days in Maine we started our way to back to Boston. Our first stop was Portsmouth, NE. The town as preserved a portion of houses dating back to the 1700's! They call the area Strawbery Banke. Its a six block or so group of houses that people are able to walk through and see the past come alive.

In some house there were people dressed up in period pieces in character. This made the experience even more special. Mouse loves this style of museum. We started the tour through the gardens.

And she is pretty lucky to have a Dad willing to get in and have tea party with her in the garden. Beyond the tea area there was numerous fairy homes through out the gardens.
In the rest of the houses we were able to see how people cooked, shopped, and made trade goods.

Mouse was able trying weaving. She was really good at it. Mouse also says she would go back again. It definitely was worth a stop if you are ever in there area.
