Little Ears

So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from this week that match the words of this week.

Topic: Listen
"O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see

O be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear..."

The song goes on but this post is about Listen, so I can end there. It's amazing how true these words ring out to me this week.
Last weekend we worked at the Compassion booth during an all day Christian music festival. Surrounding us were the songs of praise and worship.
But as we looked down at the small faces on sheets of paper I was reminded of so much.
Freedom to hear the worship
Out loud in PUBLIC, praises to God
So many can not listen to the word of God without fear.
As I shared hugs and laughter with my daughter and husband
I looked down again and remembered that there are hundreds of little ears not hearing laughter and love in their homes.
The contrast was extreme, the heart hurt was intense for these little ones.
I do not know

But God knows and he listened to my heart, to THEIR hearts
And over a 130 children were sponsored that day.
Praising God they listened

  2. Beautiful post. Thank you for this simple yet important reminder of the freedom we have every moment in Christ and the freedom we have to worship and hear about him and that this is not true for all. Great post!

  3. Wonderful! How wonderful to see those children find sponsors. Thank you for helping and for watching and listening to the promptings around you.
