5 Minute Friday ~ Connected

It's Friday time to write! Get ready for unedited five minutes of writing. Sound like fun join up with the rest of us at The Gypsy Mama.
Today's topic: Connected

All of the technology today makes us more connected than ever before.

Right?!?

That is what they tell us, those marketing executives. Facebook lets us know what friends people from high school are doing at this very moment. Twitter lets us know what the pro-football player is having for dinner. Texting, cell phones and the list can go on and on.

But...

Are we truly connected? Do we know these people? Are they truly friends?

Friends need connection. Need more than status posts and tweets. We need to have depth. In depth we grow. It is sharing beyond our moments and instead sharing our heart that we truly connect.

I pray we all connect this weekend.

    Oh! This is so true. No everybody got into a friends list meas he or she is a friends. Connection indeed is more about knowing what other people are doing.
