This weekend I had a baby shower to go to with nothing to wear. I have been to a few stores looking for the perfect long skirt. But I have yet to find exactly what I am looking for.
So when you can't find what you want.. you make it. Or at least that's how it works at my house. But then it only works when you actually have the material to make a long white skirt. I was quite bummed when I looked through my fabric stash to find that I only had enough white material to make a skirt for Mouse not me. But I did have this vintage fabric I inherited from my Grandmother.
I cut the skirt to the size and then put one seem up the back with a slit about to my knees.
I wanted to keep the flowy look to bottom of the skirt so I followed a new trend that I am seeing in the boutiques. I added some rouching to the various spots from the knee down. This gave it a some body to the body. I like how it turned out. Check out tomorrows post to see how the whole outfit looked.
