Come and Adore Him

Today is Five Minute Fridays so lets link up and write
So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from my week Instagram feed that match the words of this week.
Topic: Adore
"O Come All Ye FaithfulJoyful and triumphant,O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.Come and behold Him,Born the King of Angels;O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,Christ the Lord."
In this season of Adoration to our King. We attend celebrations and midnight masses. Bibles are opened and read, of a birth so long ago. We hear carols sung in streets, shops and homes. Now we include social media in our proclamation of the Good News a Savior is born.
Here we can, with a church on every corner, proclaim the news. Here we make discussion on which service is most convenient for us to attend. Here we brush off the meaning of Christmas, once the wrapping paper starts flying. Here we don’t post nativities outside our homes along with Santa and reindeer.

O Sing, choirs of angels,Sing in exultation,Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.Give to our Father glory in the Highest;O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,Christ the Lord.
But what if Christmas was banned.  What if you lived in one of the over 50 countries that Christianity is illegal. Would you still "Come and Adore Him"? If there was only one service, hidden in a basement, would you still attend? If death was a possibility in proclaiming the news, would you sing the carols?
All Hail! Lord, we greet Thee,Born this happy morning,O Jesus! for evermore be Thy name adored.Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
As we move into the final days before Christmas, embrace the freedom we have. Proclaim the news Christ was born, because you can. Because someone else can’t! Most importantly pray for those around the world, those whispering the words of mangers and wise men. Sing it loud, let them hear your voice this year.

  2. Amen! I was just rejoicing with villagers in the Green near where I live - John 3:16 read through the PA for all to hear, including Christmas shoppers at the local Tesco. A beautiful time adoring Jesus in public.

  3. Beautiful, beautiful thoughts! We do so often forget how blessed we are to be able to proclaim the birth of Jesus openly and not have to hide it in a basement or fear death if we share it with the world. Stopping by from #FMF! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
