Well Watered Garden

It's Friday which means its time for Five Minute Fridays
So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from this week that match the words of this week.
Topic: Garden
This year Mouse is all about planting a garden. She keeps asking when it will be warm enough to start. She loves the concept of gardening, the seed to flower transformation.
But, will she understand the commitment a garden takes.
A garden like so many other beautiful things, take time and nurturing.
Oh how, we are so like a garden.
We need constant watering, to fill our dry lives.
And how we look and search for all the ways to fill our lives, yet so often we forget the Gardener. The one who said he would sustain us.
The weeding is so continual, for if we don't our lives get so bogged down with the bad. And yet we rarely turn to his word to sort out the good and the bad.
"And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail." ~ Isaiah 58:11
Thankful for his continual guidance, so that we may be well watered gardens.

  1. Joining you from FMF. You are so right about the garden being a metaphor for life! Beautifully said. I wish you well on your garden adventures this year!

  2. I love this! You always make such great connections. And keep us posted on how this gardening progresses. At our house, we always manage to kill those little things before they can get into the ground :(

  3. What a beautiful and poignant post! "A garden like so many other beautiful things, take time and nurturing." So true.

Thanks for stopping by! We love to read your comments. In this crazy world it sometimes takes me a bit to get back to you right away, but please know that we are trying, especially if you ask a question or invite us over to your blog.
