So I write for Five minute, no edits, no re dos and at the end I will see if there are pictures from this week that match the words of this week.
Topic: Opportunity
A New Year always gives way to a new start, opportunity to do life a little different in the year to come.
Steve and I made a goal when we started working at the University here to start taking advantage of where we work. Do things that we normally wouldn't do or go places we haven't been to.
Each work place, city, state is amazing. There is so much to do and see that we barely scratch the surface. We want more than surface here. We want Mouse to experience more than just MOA or the Boundary Waters. Both are great but there is more to see and do.

I am so glad we took the time to see this old museum with it's history. Mouse loves museums so she had a blast. Then we all stopped off at an old fashion malt shop for dinner.
Honey Malt anyone?? It's worth it.
So go out this year and explore. See what opportunities are around that you may not have seen before.
Join up on either or both groups. Or just go check out what the others are sharing.

We did that museum a long time ago and the kids still talk about it. It reminded me of the kinds of museum field trips I took as a kid. Fun and free! So, did you go to Snuffy's?
ReplyDeleteThe IMAX experience sounds amazing! One of my all time favorite IMAX movies revolves around the Hubble telescope - the galaxy ones are always the best :) Wishing you LOTS of opportunities to explore this year :)
ReplyDeleteI've never been to that museum. That will be on our list now for this year - thanks for the tip :) And the honey malt! I can't say no to a malt! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThe Bell museum is on my list for homeschool field trips this year. I've never been there before. As a life-long Minnesotan who has never been to the Boundary Waters, that is definitely on our must-do list too!
